Silk plugs

Silk plugs are a dried salivary secretion of bees in the genus Hylaeus.  They are often very shiny, and always filmy or papery.  They can look like resin plugs, but tear easily.  The also often appear to have thread-like strands imbedded in them.  They can be white, clear or yellowish.
